Profession
Alchemist.
Abilities
Green-flame metal control
Can use flame tests to create green-metal substances:
- Copper (emerald green)
- Boron (blue-green)
- Barium (yellow-green)
- Zinc (blue-green or colorless)
Barium
Barium has limited industrial uses. It was once used as a getter in vacuum tubes and is a component of YBCO high-temperature superconductors and electrical porcelain. Barium compounds produce green fireworks. Insoluble barium sulfate is added to drilling mud and used as an X-ray contrast agent; soluble barium salts are toxic and have been used as rat poison.
Green fireworks can, depending on timing:
- Turn the eyes of every mammal who sees them into C-0321’s monitors.
- Produce a poisonous gas that kills mammals, while also erasing C-0321’s own presence.
Boron
Boronates are only mildly toxic to mammals but are more toxic to arthropods and can be used as insecticides. Boric acid has mild antibacterial properties. Boron is essential to plants: tiny amounts of borax or boric acid act as fertilizer, while excess is toxic. Boron compounds strengthen plant cell walls.
A green liquid can, depending on timing:
- Treat immune-system problems in some species.
- Make plants grow luxuriantly.
Copper
Unknown. It flows in C-0321’s green blood and may have a special use. See 0xA2 .
Copper (Cu, atomic number 29) is a soft, conductive, recyclable metal used in cables, electronics, buildings, coins, bronze, brass, pigments, antimicrobial agents, fungicides, and wood preservatives. It is an essential trace nutrient and a component of respiratory enzymes; in mollusks and crustaceans it forms hemocyanin, while vertebrates use iron-based hemoglobin.
Zinc
Unknown.
Zinc (Zn, atomic number 30) is a blue-silver transition metal. Its main uses include galvanizing iron, batteries, brass, die-casting, and compounds used in supplements, deodorants, anti-dandruff shampoo, fluorescent coatings, and organic synthesis. Zinc is an essential mineral for growth, development, immunity, and many enzymes; deficiency can cause stunted growth, delayed sexual maturation, lowered immunity, and diarrhea.
【Excessive zinc intake may cause ataxia, lethargy, and copper deficiency.】

Notes
- His blood was synthesized into “Ice Cola” (see 0xA2 ). The “Supreme Copper” who appeared before Shenxiu then was an impostor.
