The instruments display fragments from several worlds. Every fragment contains the same sage-green glint: in a pupil, a monitor, a puddle, and the edge of a page. Kate says the glint is not a color but a witness.
Cloak explains that the Green Eye observes without changing facts. Emotion insists that it must be hiding a person. Fang Li compares the records and notices that each appearance follows a disappearance.
The answer is not an object. It is the viewpoint that keeps surviving every projection.
Kate looks toward the window. For one frame, her reflection has sage-green eyes. Then it is gone. The search continues.
